Rachel came to PiPeLine because of her great interest in working with young people. She comes from a diverse background and has a broad spectrum of experience; these life experiences have given Rachel the key skills needed to working with young people. Having worked in the leisure industry for many years, Rachel became adept at dealing with many different people from all kinds of backgrounds. These people could be very challenging at times and Rachel has developed great skills in dealing with very different and difficult situations in a professional manner. She is very much a ‘people person’ and this, coupled with her previous experience, enables her to relate to young people very well. She has a good understanding of the different struggles people go through in life but portrays and maintains a calm, positive attitude at all times, which is great for our young people. Rachel is also a very creative person who in her spare time enjoys drawing pencil art in many forms, art which she has shared with our youths.
Since joining the company at the very beginning, Rachel has gone on to become the manager of the Bradford provision and is also the Designated Safeguard Lead, taking a lead on all Child Protection issues as well as training staff, established and new, on the policies, protocols, and procedures for working in this field.
